Did you know?
Mary Bell was released from prison aged 23 to live in anonymity. However, an invetigative reporter subsequently discovered where she was living with a young daughter, and she was forced to flee the area. Subsequently the ‘Mary Bell order’ was granted following a High Court battle to have both Mary Bell and her daughter’s anonymity protected for life.
This is the second book written on this case by Gitta Sereny. If you are interested in reading the account of the killings and subsequent trial – The Case of Mary Bell – this is not currently in stock but you may find a copy here.
This book should interest anyone looking to buy a book online about Child Murder, or Murder by Children, although of course this case was technically ruled as manslaughter.
