Rare Philip Pullman Book
How to be Cool
The First in this new TV tie-in edition of an extraordinarily scarce early novel by the ‘Dark Materials’ author.
Jacob finds out the truth about the plans of the National Cool Board, a sinister organisation which is patrolling the streets in search of fashion defectives. He hits upon an idea to beat them at their own game.
The TV series in 1988 starred Roger Daltrey of The Who as Cashman, and featured three hour-long episodes, two of which also guest-starred contemporary glam pop star Gary Glitter in this children’s programme and also Julie Goodyear of Coronation Street:
1. The Rule Of Cool
2. The Frontiers Of Style
3. The Vortex
Very Good condition (creasing across bottom front corner and small nick at mid-bottom edge, otherwise very smart).
Pan Piper, 1988. First thus.
Ther are several editions of this book, including the hardback first edition and another paperback edition, but this TV tie-in has become an increasingly hard to find book.
