This book may appeal to anyone enthusiastic about the Mounties (Royal Canadian Mounted Police – RCMP), also known as the, or les Gendarmerie royale du Canada (GRC) and perhaps just ‘The Force’ by Canadians. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police was founded in 1920 when the Royal North-West Mounted Police (RNWMP) and the Dominion Police merged, although in fact the Royal aspect of the name derives only from 1904 when King Edward VII bestowed the title upon the Force.
